Later today at 7:00 PM Eastern Daylight Savings Time, as I do on every Friday evening, I will be hosting my show, the Michael Cutler Hour on the USA Talk Radio Network on Blog Talk Radio.
There is no shortage of madness to be found in our nation these days, especially where the immigration issue is concerned! We certainly are bordering on Bedlam!
Today I plan to discuss how a United States Border Patrol Agent, Jesus E. Diaz was arrested, prosecuted and found guilty of using excessive force against an illegal alien who was found to be carrying a backpack laden with marijuana. The illegal alien was purportedly 15 years old and according to reports, resisted arrest. The agent was charged with using a common physical tactic of lifting the handcuffed arms of the struggling alien in custody to get the alien to submit to commands to sit down. This is not an unusual tactic but in this case, the agent has been sentenced to serve a 2 year prison sentence!

Additionally, Sonoma County, California has begun accepting the Mexican Matricula Consular card as a form of reliable identification. Any individual who is found to be in possession of such a card is openly declaring himself (herself) to be an illegal alien but because of the “Sanctuary” policies of California and other jurisdictions- this is no big deal! What is being ignored by the political officials who are providing sanctuary to illegal aliens is the danger that this does to our nation and our citizens. The immigration laws are designed to prevent the entry and continued presence of aliens in our country who pose a threat to the safety, security and well being to our citizens and our nation.
This is yet another example of lunacy that has become all to commonplace in our country today! Mexican Matricula Consular cards lack reliability- an important issue where the wars on terrorism and transnational gangs are concerned. There have been individuals encountered with those cards who were not even citizens of Mexico!
Here is the testimony of Steven McCraw who was, at the time he testified before the House Subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security and Claims, the Assistant Director of the FBI, Office of Intelligence.
The hearing was conducted on June 26, 2003 and was entitled:
“Consular ID Cards in a Post-9/11 World”
