Several weeks ago I was interviewed in my home by Tiffany Cloud, a broadcast journalist from Hazleton, Pennsylvania. She has an excellent, politically oriented program, “Storm Politics” that airs on Channel 35 – WYLN-TV.
We did a series of 4 interviews that run 30 minutes each and cover various aspects of the immigration crisis confronting our nation today. The first episode is being broadcast this week and the balance of the interviews will air repeatedly over the next 4 weeks.
The show streams online live at wylntv.com.
Here is the schedule for the programs (The times indicated are all Eastern Daylight Savings Time):
Thursday at 9:30 PM, Saturday at 5:00 PM, Sunday at 11:00 AM, Monday at 8:30 PM, Tuesday at 9:30 PM. Each new episode airs Wednesday at 8:00 PM
After all 4 episodes air, the station plans to post them on their website so that you will be able to watch each episode whenever you want.
As you will see, we covered quite a bit of territory and I am pleased to have participated in this interview. The reporter did a great job in providing me with ample opportunities to provide my perspectives on the immigration crisis that few of our political leaders are willing to discuss in an honest and forthright manner.
I hope that you will not only have the opportunity to watch the interviews but tell as many folks as you can about these broadcasts!
As you likely know, ever since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 I have attempted to do whatever I can to provide my perspectives on what I believe is one of the most serious challenges that confront our nation- the decades-long failures of our government to secure our nation’s borders and create an immigration system that has real integrity! Immigration is not a single issue but a singular issue inasmuch as these failures profoundly impact everything from national security and criminal justice and community safety to the economy, the environment healthcare and public health and education, to name the most prominent of these issues.
I greatly appreciate the wonderful opportunity that Tiffany Cloud provided to me to discuss these issues at length! (All too often television coverage of the immigration issue or, just about all issues, is limited to a quick 3 minute appearance or an even shorter “soundbite!”)
