The first step in problem solving is to identify the components of the problem and then devising the best strategies to most effectively deal with the problem. Politicians who are ignoring the immigration component to the threats we face are either supremely ignorant and foolish or are so corrupt that they are willing to compromise national security and the lives of Americans to garner massive campaign contributions and promises of block votes.
While I am not a bible scholar, I am not unlike most people who have learned of the “Wisdom of Solomon” as typified by the story about how two women both claimed to be the mother of a baby. Understanding human nature and maternal instincts, King Solomon found an easy way to use those fundamental human characteristics as an infallible lie detector. He simply offered to cut the baby in two and provide each woman claiming to be that baby’s mother with her “share” of the child he was supposedly willing to slaughter to resolve the conflict.
The much revered king knew damn well that no real mother would allow harm to come to a single strand of hair on her baby’s head, let alone consent to have child’s slaughter.
One “mother” quickly agreed to the outrageous proposal while the other was aghast at that the prospect of having the baby killed to satisfy the conflict. That latter mother said she would rather turn the contested child over to the other woman rather than have harm come to it.
It became readily obvious to all who the real mother was!
Politicians who claim that it is appropriate to provide unknown millions of illegal aliens who evaded the inspections process carried out by the more than 20,000 employees of CBP (Customs and Border Protection) to prevent, in part, the entry of international terrorists, transnational criminals, international fugitives from justice, spies, war criminals and others who would pose a threat to our safety and well being are not unlike that false “mother” of biblical notoriety.
Only a false leader who could not care less about the well being of our nation and our citizens!
Today our nation and our citizens face a list of challenges and threats- nearly every one of which is being exacerbated by long-standing failures of our nation to secure our borders and enforce our immigration laws. To be clear, it is not “Anti-Immigrant” to want these two issues to be dealt with effectively. It is not racist to insist on enforcing those laws either- our immigration laws are utterly, completely and totally blind as to race, religion and ethnicity.
In point of fact, the same immigration laws that mandate the categories of aliens to be kept our of our country and the terms under which aliens should be removed from our country have absolutely nothing to do with race, religion or ethnicity, also provide for the lawful admission of roughly one million lawful immigrants and the naturalization of hundreds of thousands of new citizens each year.
It is therefore a contradiction in terms and thinking to claim that it is “Anti-Immigrant” to support the effective enforcement and administration of our immigration laws
Finally, this is about making certain that foreign nationals will not become public charges and will not seek or gain employment that will enable them to compete unfairly with American workers thereby displacing Americans similarly employed and/or driving down the wages of such Americans workers.
Let us be clear in our thinking- it is “Pro-Immigrant” to be “Pro-Enforcement!”
The many failures of our immigration system are evident to everyone. The fact that there are unknown millions of illegal aliens present in the United States, the fact that aliens who were granted political asylum, lawful immigrant status and even United States citizenship should raise serious concerns about the vetting process that such aliens undergo. The fact that immigration fraud permeates the immigration benefits program provides clear and unequivocal evidence that the division of USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) is incapable of properly screening applications that they adjudicate, thereby enabling terrorists and criminals to enter the United States and embed themselves in communities across our nation.
Immigration fraud was identified by the 9/11 Commission as being a key method of entry and embedding employed by the majority of terrorists identified and investigated by that commission, including other terrorists who did not participate in the terror attacks of 9/11.
It was clear that while border security is a vital component of national security, that this involves far more than simply supposedly securing the US/Mexican border that is supposed to separate the United States from Mexico.
Indeed, not one of the 19 terrorists who participated in the attacks of September 11, 2001 ran the US/Mexican Border!
Yet most politicians from both parties keep on insisting that once the US/Mexican border is made secure, it is in our best interests to provide unknown millions of illegal aliens with lawful status and identity documents.
There would be no way of interviewing these millions of aliens in person and no way to conduct field investigations to substantiate the claims that they would make in their applications. Here is what our officials will not be able to confirm:
1. The true names of these aliens
2. The true nationalities of these aliens
3. The possible affiliation that these aliens may have with criminal or terrorist organizations
4. When, where or how they actually entered the United States.
The obvious question- “What could possibly go wrong?”
The second obvious question- ”Why on earth would our leaders sell out America and Americans in so obvious and devastating manner?”
Yet the House Committee on Homeland Security inexplicably proposed legislation that would, over a period of years, achieve “operational control” (whatever that vague term means) over the US/Mexican border while blithely ignoring that nearly half of all illegal aliens did not run that border but were admitted via the inspections process, ran the US/Canadian border or stowed away on ships.
If this is supposed to protect us, I am underwhelmed!
Our immigration system is composed of many moving parts and all must be effectively dealt with. If “a chain is as strong as its weakest link,” the immigration system must be thought of as a chain with extremely weak and even missing links.
The importance of our borders and our immigration laws cannot be overemphasized. In the war on terror and transnational gangs, they are our first line of defense and our last line of defense. They are equally important to American workers who are facing unfair competition from foreign workers, aided and abetted by the administration and advocates for “Sanctuary Cities” and Comprehensive Immigration Reform,

On April 4, 2014, CAPS (Californians for Population Stabilization) posted my commentary that asks the questions all Americans need to ask their political “representatives.” My commentary is aptly titled: “How? Why?”
In his historic speech before the 3rd Army on May 31, 1944, General George S. Patton said, on the strategy of holding a position:
“We’re not holding anything, we’ll let the Hun do that. We are advancing constantly, and we’re not interested in holding onto anything except the enemy.”
Pushing back against Comprehensive Immigration Reform is the same as holding position. The time has come for us to advance by demanding that our borders be made truly secure and our immigration laws be effectively administered and enforced.
Comprehensive Immigration Reform violates all of the findings and recommendations of the 9/11 Commission but no one is willing to even consider how the lack of real border security and the lack of real integrity to the various components of the immigration system imperil national security and public safety.
The findings and recommendations of the 9/11 Commission must be the starting point for any discussion about immigration legislation. That commission determined that a lack of border security, including the visa process. and fraud in the immigration benefits program, enabled terrorists to enter and embed themselves in the United States, as they went about their deadly preparations.
Immigration is not a single issue but a singular issue that impacts nearly every challenge and threat confronting the United States today! Simply stated, the immigration laws were enacted to save lives and protect the jobs of American workers. In point of fact, our borders and our immigration laws are America’s first line of defense and last line of defense against international terrorists and transnational criminals.
It is not “Anti-Immigrant” to be “Pro-American!”
Our armed forces are charged with securing America’s borders externally while the DHS is supposed to secure those same borders from within. The failures of the DHS to live up to its half of the equation are undermining the efforts, valor and incredible sacrifices of Americas men and women who serve in our military!
If our government’s failures to protect American jobs by securing our nation’s borders and effectively enforcing our immigration laws concerns you or especially if it angers you, I ask you to call your Senators and Congressional “Representative. This is not only your right- it is your obligation!
All I ask is that you make it clear to our politicians that we are not as dumb as they hope we are!
We live in a perilous world and in a perilous era. The survival of our nation and the lives of our citizens hang in the balance.
This is neither a Conservative issue, nor is it a Liberal issue- simply stated, this is most certainly an AMERICAN issue!
You are either part of the solution or you are a part of the problem!
Democracy is not a spectator sport!

Beautifully said on your guest appearance I heard today on the radio with Gambling. I’m retired from NYS and have been expressing the same viewpoints to family and friends for over twenty years. Also, as a former Union rep & activist with P.E.F. of NYS, representing professionals of all sorts, my warnings similar to your rants fell on deaf ears except for just a few. I appreciate your passion, but I’ve retired as part of the silent majority (or should I say “minority”) with no hope for this country as the oliogarchs like Gates, Diamond, Madoff types of Wall St., Koch Bros., …….decimate the middle class as selfish pigs to gain more profit by striving as always for a Slave Labor force- as history shows time and time again. like you said they are all bought off. Goldman Sachs Is a prime example as noted by former Rolling Stones magazine writer Mike Taibbi. Our laws and regulations are ignored with no one held in politics and on Wall Street to ethical standards. The brainwashing in our schools and out of control dumbing down of the population has created a monster too big to slay. But, I fully support your efforts. I’ve resigned myself to withdraw from this “fall of Rome” scenario by dodging as many morons as possible. There is no hope unless we have a third party to vote for and “throw the bums out” from both paties!
