"Immigration Politics: Where Facts and Commonsense Are Ignored" – My latest article for FrontPage Magazine

Hi Gang:
Kindly forward this e-mail to as many folks as possible and ask that they, in turn, do the same- I am attempting to create a “Bucket Brigade of Truth!”  We should encourage everyone we know to watch this important documentary.
Today, October 30, 2014, FrontPage Magazine posted my latest article that focuses on the utterly incomprehensible decision by an overwhelming majority of the New York City Council to formulate legislation that would remove ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agents from the prison at Rikers Island and severely limit the circumstances under which members of the NYPD and Department of Corrections would notify ICE about aliens in custody.  It would also restrict the way that the Department of Corrections would deal with detainers lodged by ICE.  Detainers are documents provided to jails and similar institutions to notify them that an alien in custody is to be turned over to  ICE when they are to be released.
Meanwhile supporters of Comprehensive Immigration Reform and similar wrong-headed and indeed, similar treacherous “solutions” to the immigration crisis lay out truly effective strategies to deter other crimes that bear strong similarities to immigration law violations while often chanting the mantra that the only solution to massive violations of our borders and immigration laws is to provide lawful status for these unknown millions of law violators from around the world, who undermine national security, public safety and the aspirations and dreams of Americans accords the United States.  The disconnect is stunning!
You may be very surprised to hear what Chuck Schumer, one of the “Eight Gangsters” of Senate Comprehensive Immigration Reform notoriety has to say!
Between the way that the media has been covering the immigration crisis and the way that the administration fails to enforce the immigration laws on the books, our immigration system no longer deters illegal immigration but actually encourages it!
What is ignored by all of the above is the fact that our immigration laws are absolutely neutral about race, religion and ethnicity.  Indeed, our immigration laws and our borders are our first line, and last line of defense against terrorists, criminals, dangerous communicable diseases and contraband including heroin, cocaine and potentially, weapons of mass destruction.
Journalists are quick to describe those of us who believe that our border be made secured and our immigration laws enforced as being “Anti-Immigrant.”  They also describe those who are opposed to border security and immigration law enforcement as being “Pro-Immigrant.”
How can supporting the enforcement of our immigration laws that not only tell us who to keep out and who to kick out for posing a threat to the well-being of America and Americans but also provide for the lawful admission of more than one million lawful immigrants each year as being “Anti-Immigrant?”
The mission of border security is to prevent aliens from circumventing the lawful inspections process that is supposed to prevent the entry of aliens deemed excludible under Title 8, United States Code, Section 1182, and include aliens who are infected with dangerous communicable diseases, suffer extreme mental illness and are prone to extreme violence or are sex offenders or are convicted felons, human rights violators, spies, terrorists, likely to become public charges or are likely to work, thereby competing unfairly with American workers and either displace American workers or drive down the wages of Americans who are employed in the United States.
Of course there is far more to the immigration system than simply securing our borders.  In reality, the immigration system is comprised of many components as I noted in my July 7, 2014 article for FrontPage Magazine:
