"Amnesty- Not the Solution- Been There, Done That (1986) and It Failed!"

Hi Gang:

I just wanted to give you a “heads up” that my latest video for Talk Border is now online.
It is entitled:

Amnesty- Not the Solution- Been There, Done That (1986) and It Failed!
Here is the link:
As you will see, I did not interview anyone this time- I just did a :solo” and talked about the wrong-headedness of any massive amnesty program for what would likely involve tens of millions of illegal aliens.  The video runs approximately 24 minutes.  I hope you will take the time to view this video and, if you wish, forward this e-mail to as many folks as you like.
Albert Einstein is one of many renowned “thinkers” who have said, “Insanity was doing the same things the

same way and expecting a different outcome!”

It is also important to note that we only get one opportunity to make a first impression.
The immigration laws of the United States are almost always the first American laws that foreign nationals encounter when they enter or seek to enter the United States.  The way our nation secures it borders and enforces its immigration laws are critical to protect innocent lives and the jobs of American workers.  They also provide that critically important first impression.
The multitude of failures to achieve true, meaningful border security and to enforce and administer the immigration laws of the United States in a fair, consistent and manner that provides real integrity and demonstrates that the United States takes its laws seriously send the extremely dangerous message to people around the world, especially criminals and members of international terrorist organizations that violations of America’s borders and laws will likely result in rewards not punishment!
The consequence of the decades long failures where border security and immigration law enforcement are concerned are extremely severe.  Those failures have enabled transnational gangs including the extremely violent and pernicious members of groups such as Russian organized crime, the Asian gangs, MS-13 and the Mexican drug cartels to easily enter the United States and set up shop in hundreds of towns and cities across the United States.
These failures played an integral role in the terrorist attacks of 1993 and again on 9/11.
Members of the 9/11 Commission issued an extensive report known as the “9/11 Commission Staff Report on Terrorist Travel” that contained an in-depth analysis of how the terrorists who attacked our nation on September 11, 2001 were able to enter the United States and embed themselves in our country as they prepared to launch the worst terrorist attack ever carried out on our soil.

The first paragraph from the preface of that report states that:

It is perhaps obvious to state that terrorists cannot plan and carry out attacks in the United States if they are unable to enter the country. Yet prior to September 11, while there were efforts to enhance border security, no agency of the U.S. government thought of border security as a tool in the counterterrorism arsenal. Indeed, even after 19 hijackers demonstrated the relative ease of obtaining a U.S. visa and gaining admission into the United States, border security still is not considered a cornerstone of national security policy. We believe, for reasons we discuss in the following pages, that it must be made one.

A paragraph under the title “Immigration Benefits” found on page 98 stated:

Terrorists in the 1990s, as well

as the September 11 hijackers, needed to find a way to stay in or embed themselves in the United States if their operational plans were to come to fruition. As already discussed, this could be accomplished legally by marrying an American citizen, achieving temporary worker status, or applying for asylum after entering. In many cases, the act of filing for an immigration benefit sufficed to permit the alien to remain in the country until the petition was adjudicated. Terrorists were free to conduct surveillance, coordinate operations, obtain and receive funding,  go to school and learn English, make contacts in the United States, acquire necessary materials, and execute an attack.

On June 22, 2007 the Washington Times published my commentary entitled:
In my commentary, I suggested that “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” be renamed the “Terrorist Assistance and Facilitation Act” because it would have required the inept and incompetent division USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) to provide official identity documents to millions of illegal aliens who, in the parlance of the immigration anarchists are “undocumented.”  This would provide ample opportunities for terrorists to obtain brand new “clean” identities that they could then use to circumvent various “no fly” and terror watch lists and embed themselves in the United States, traveling freely and legally working in jobs that might have critical infrastructure implications or national security implications!
The immigration laws are supposed to achieve two primary goals- to protect American lives and protect Americans’ jobs.

Our nation is greatly benefited by the rich diversity of our people which is why I could never imagine living anywhere except New York City, arguably the most diverse city in our nation if not, in fact, the world.  However, my idea of diversity most certainly does not include members of MS-13, the Mexican drug cartels or members of other transnational gangs or members of al-Qaeda or other terrorist organizations!

It is also vital that American workers never be made to compete with foreign workers for their jobs!  (This requirement is a component of the Immigration Laws that are not being enforced today!)

If our government’s failures to secure our nation’s borders and effectively enforce our immigration laws that are intended to protect our nation and our citizens concerns you or especially if it angers you, I ask you to call your Senators and Congressional “Representative. This is not only your right- it is your obligation!

We the People must make it clear to our politicians that we are not as dumb as they hope we are!

We live in a perilous world and in a perilous era. The survival of our nation and the lives of our citizens hang in the balance.

This is neither a Conservative issue, nor is it a Liberal issue- simply stated, this is most certainly an AMERICAN issue!

You are either part of the solution or you are a part of the problem!

Democracy is not a spectator sport!

Lead, follow or get out of the way!
