I will be joined by my friend Don Rosenberg. Don’s son was killed by an unlicensed driver from El Salvador, who struck the motorcycle Don’s son, Drew, was driving. According to eyewitnesses to the accident, the initial collision did not seriously injure his son- however, in attempting to flee the scene of the accident the driver drove over the 25 year old law school student, crushing his skull. He might have succeeded in getting away had not bystanders held him for police.
There are many more infuriating details about this case and, in fact, Don has testified before legislative hearings in California where Don and his family live and where the accident took place, and has appeared on national news programs to try to educate Americans and our political leaders.
In his quest to prevent his family’s tragedy from repeating itself Don created a website aptly named, “Unlicensed To Kill”
Here is the link to the website:
Last week Don met with Jeh Johnson, the Secretary of Homeland Security and members of Congress. We will discuss his son’s senseless death and the outrageous claims made by Johnson. Even for this administration- it is hard to believe what Don was told by the official who heads up the DHS, an agency I have come to refer to as the Department of Homeland Surrender.
Don also met with other officials on Capitol Hill including two members of the House of Representatives who have demonstrated true moral leadership and courage, Representatives Lou Barletta from Hazleton, Pennsylvania and Representative Steve King of Iowa. I am proud to consider both of these Congressional leaders to be my friends and allies in efforts to demand our nation’s immigration laws be effectively enforced to protect innocent lives and the jobs of American workers.
This is a program you will truly not wan to miss- I hope you will be listening!
Please make certain to forward this e-mail to everyone on your e-mail list- I am attempting to create a “Bucket Brigade of Truth!”
The importance of our borders and our immigration laws cannot be overemphasized. In the war on terror and transnational gangs, they are our first line of defense and our last line of defense. They are equally important to American workers who are facing unfair competition from foreign workers, aided and abetted by the administration and advocates for “Sanctuary Cities” and Comprehensive Immigration Reform,
On July 2, 2013 the Washington Times published my Op-Ed:
Who will find the answers while there’s still time to prevent a disaster?
On June 13, 2013 I was interviewed by Neil Cavuto at Fox News on the topic:
The interview ran about 4 minutes and is worth watching.
Last week, CAPS (Californians for Population Stabilization) posted my commentary that asks the questions all Americans need to ask their political “representatives.” My commentary is aptly titled: “How? Why?”
In his historic speech before the 3rd Army on May 31, 1944, General George S. Patton said, on the strategy of holding a position:
“We’re not holding anything, we’ll let the Hun do that. We are advancing constantly, and we’re not interested in holding onto anything except the enemy.”
Pushing back against Comprehensive Immigration Reform is the same as holding position. The time has come for us to advance by demanding that our borders be made truly secure and our immigration laws be effectively administered and enforced.
Comprehensive Immigration Reform violates all of the findings and recommendations of the 9/11 Commission but no one is willing to even consider how the lack of real border security and the lack of real integrity to the various components of the immigration system imperil national security and public safety.
The findings and recommendations of the 9/11 Commission must be the starting point for any discussion about immigration legislation. That commission determined that a lack of border security, including the visa process. and fraud in the immigration benefits program, enabled terrorists to enter and embed themselves in the United States, as they went about their deadly preparations.
