After a hiatus of several months, we have resumed producing my program TalkBorder.com at AND Magazine.
Timing, as you know can be critical. I am delighted to be able to provide my perspectives at TalkBorder.com especially as Election
Day approaches. I had decided to focus my most recent video on the issue of immigration and the Presidential debates.
While I often conduct interviews on m program I decided that I wanted to do a “solo” yesterday so that I could make use of the entire segment to provide my perspectives. This is one of the reasons I love having my own show- I get to make those decisions!
As you likely know by now, yesterday the FBI and the NYPD announced the arrest of a 21 year old citizen of Bangladesh, Qazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis for his alleged attempt to construct and detonate a massive, half ton bomb in a truck parked next to the Federal Reserve Bank located in highly congested lower Manhattan.
I listened to radio news programs as I drove into Manhattan to tape my show. The news programs reported that Nafis had been admitted into the United States as a student to attend a school in MIssouri. As it turned out he was allegedly determined to not attend school in the United States but to carry out terrorist attack(s) in the United States and apparently gamed the visa process in order to enter the United States.

Going back to the issue of timing- on September 10, 2012 CAPS (Californians for Population Stabilization) I wrote a commentary that focused on a GAO report that noted a lack of integrity to the process by which foreign students are admitted into the Unied States.
