We plan to focus on my most recent article for the David Horowitz Center’s FrontPage Magazine:
January 23, 2015 by
It is unfathomable that our political leaders are willing to go to any extreme to attempt to avoid a fundamental truth- our nation’s borders and immigration laws are our first line of defense and last line of defense against international terrorists and transnational criminals.
When the United States was attacked at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 the United States was forced to immediately ramp up all efforts to defeat the threats posed to the United States. On that day that, as the President Franklin D. Roosevelt declared would, “Live in infamy” approximately three thousand Americans lost their lives.
In all of 44 months, the United States, operating in close cooperation with its allies did whatever was necessary to confront and defeat the Third Reich and the Axis Powers, thereby defending the United States, its allies and Freedom. In order to accomplish this goal our nation and its allies constructed fleets of aircraft that had not previously existed as well as fleets of warships. Radar was developed and perfected and atomic power was harnessed to create the two weapons used to end the war in the Pacific theater.
All in just 44 months.
The United States was attacked more than 2o years ago by terrorists twice in 1993 (at the CIA Headquarters and the World Trade Center) and again on September 11, 2001 more than 13 years ago.
On April 15, 2013 the Boston Marathon was attacked by the Tsarnaev brothers.
All of those attacks were carried out by foreign nationals who gamed the visa process and the immigration adjudications process.
Ironically, the number of people killed on 9/11 was approximately the same as the number of Americans killed on December 7, 1941.
In response to the terror attacks the United States embarked in a costly war in Iraq- costly in blood and in money. In response to the terror attacks of 9/11 Americans lost expectations of privacy in the name of national security.
Yet one of the key vulnerabilities remains – our borders have never been more porous and the lack of integrity to the immigration system that was problematic in 2001 has eroded further. Even the language concerning the nexus between the failings of the immigration system has been altered in an obvious attempt to evade the obvious- that our nation’s immigration system should be seen as a vital element of national security.
My article focused on the truth about the role of effective immigration law enforcement in the “War on Terror” and will serve as the basis for my appearance on JD Hayworth’s program.
I hope you will be tuning in to all three programs!
The advocates for Comprehensive Immigration Reform are supporting an extremely dangerous program that would irrevocably undermine national security. It is time to address the truth in this threat to the security of our nation and the lives of our citizens.
