Congressman Lou Barletta Interviewed for TalkBorder.com and takes on Obama's "Prosecutorial Deception!"

Hi Gang:

On Monday, June 18, 2012 I interviewed Congressman Lou Barletta for my website www.TalkBorder.com at AND Magazine. I am extremely proud and, indeed, honored that Representative Barletta would take time out from an extremely busy schedule to participate in this important interview.
They say that timing is everything. I had arranged for the interview about a week earlier, having no idea that on Friday, June 15th President Obama would, in essence, declare “Open season” on our immigration laws- laws I might add, that were enacted with the two fundamental and essential goals of protecting American lives and protecting American jobs.

Congressman Barletta is one of the leading members of Congress where the issue of illegal immigration is concerned. In fact, he and I first met several years ago when he was the mayor of Hazleton a former mining town located in the mountains of Pennsylvania. He had enacted ordinances that provided for the punishment of employers who knowingly hired illegal aliens and for those who knowingly provided housing to illegal aliens. He was the very first elected local official to take such action as a result of the failures of the federal government to enforce immigration laws that have been on the books, as they say, for more than 50 years.

He was motivated to take those measures because of a sudden drastic increase in violent crime in his once peaceful town and most of those crimes including murder, were carried out by illegal aliens. As soon as he got those ordinances passed he and his town were sued by the ACLU in an effort to block their enforcement. I was called as the final witness at the federal trial that ensued.

Today Congressman Lou Barletta working closely with Congressman Steve King and several other members of Congress are attempting to force the federal government to enforce our nation’s immigration laws and stop the use of executive orders issued by the Obama administration to apparently circumvent the Constitution and the legislative process.

Rather than continue on about Lou Barletta’s efforts, I suggest you watch the interview.

Please take a moment to read the contents of the First Amendment of our Constitution

First Amendment

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

The Founding Fathers understood that in order for our nation to have a true democratic process, the citizens had to be guaranteed the right of conducting debates, discussions and, if need be, arguments, provided that all such encounters were done “peaceably.” This is why the right of the people to peaceably assemble is noted in the First Amendment. Back then the only way to have those discussions was face to face.
Today we suffer from a form of censorship that is imposed by various groups who take the position that if anyone disagrees with them, they are the enemy!
Nothing could be further from the truth! The discourse called for in the First Amendment is literally “As American as Apple Pie!”
This is one of the primary reasons I have created my program on AND Magazine to provide information that is all too often not being provided by traditional news programs.

It is my goal, as the Senior Immigration Editor for AND Magazine, to provide perspectives and information about the immigration crisis and related areas of concern, that are not being provided anywhere else.

The first step in problem solving is to acknowledge that a problem exists.

If you like what you find at my website, I ask that you forward the link to as many folks as possible and ask them to do the same- I am attempting to create a “Bucket Brigade of Truth!”

If our government's failures to secure our nation's borders and effectively enforce our immigration laws concerns you or especially if it angers you, I ask you to call your Senators and Congressional “Representative. This is not only your right- it is your obligation!

iv>

All I ask is that you make it clear to our politicians that we are not as dumb as they hope we are!

We live in a perilous world and in a perilous era. The survival of our nation and the lives of our citizens hang in the balance.

This is neither a Conservative issue, nor is it a Liberal issue- simply stated, this is most certainly an AMERICAN issue!

You are either part of the solution or you are a part of the problem!

Democracy is not a spectator sport!

Lead, follow or get out of the way!
