FoxNews: “Police Search House of Colorado Man Suspected of Links to Terror Plot After New York Trip”

Hi Gang:

The story I have attached below appears on today’s FoxNews website and is of great importance inasmuch as it deals with what appears to be an ongoing investigation into a possible conspiracy involving a plot to carry out a terrorist plot in New York.

Certainly the timing is of interest, the United Nations General Assembly is about to convene it meeting and Jews around the world are about to observe the start of the Jewish New Year. In 1973 a major war effort was launched against Israel on the eve of the Jewish New Year.

What is also of great importance is the fact that the apparent prime suspect thus far identified in this investigation is an individual with a possible link to al-Qaeda, Najibullah Zazi, who has been identified as being a citizen of Afghanistan and a lawful immigrant of the United States. He has been further identified as a licensed limo driver and one television news report about Zazi identified him as an “airport limousine” driver.

I have made the point on many occasions at many venues, including when I have testified before Congressional hearings, individuals involved with terrorism don’t generally hide in a hole in the ground waiting for instructions but rather manage to hide in plain sight by securing a job, and that these jobs provide them with mobility, camouflage and the ability to easily have clandestine meetings without making it obvious that they are conducting such meetings. I have further noted that a day or two before an attack, a terrorist is most likely, in fact, to go to his job.

An airport limo driver would certainly enjoy all of these benefits. They have mobility, limos and limo vans are ubiquitous, a driver who often worked at airports would easily become a known “fixture” at such a critical facility and not arouse suspicion for often being there. It would be easy to hold meetings with “passengers” enabling the driver and his passenger to conduct a meeting, exchange information, documents, money, etc., even if a surveillance was being conducted of the driver.

The article notes that Zazi had a “Green Card,” that is to say that he is a lawful immigrant. I have no information as to how he obtained his lawful immigrant status because the fraud rate in the process by which aliens are granted lawful immigrant status is fraught with fraud. USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) is the division of DHS that is charged with adjudicating applications for all of the various immigration benefits including conferring resident alien status and United States citizenship upon aliens and although they process more than 6 million such applications each and every year, they only have about 600 investigators to conduct field investigations to determine the bona fides of the application and the material facts concerning those applications.

Of course, in this case, I have no information as to how Mr. Zazi obtained his purported resident alien status, although the article makes it sound as though he has been living in the United States for many years, but certainly I hope that those who are investigating him are delving into this issue.

As for the statement that a “background check” was conducted by the authorities of Colorado, I have often noted that a background check is not comparable to a background investigation. A background check generally just involves running an applicants fingerprints and stated name on an application through a computer database to check for known individuals. If the person in question uses a fictitious name, the value of running the name is worthless. Most terrorists know that it is essential to keep a “low profile” as an embedding tactic. They know that to “hide in plain sight” they must not get arrested or have contact with law enforcement so that if they then apply for a license their fingerprints will come up “clean.”

This is the same issue where a massive amnesty program for millions of illegal aliens under the auspices of “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” is concerned.

It will be interesting to see how the ongoing investigation unfolds.

Our nation must not only secure its borders against the illegal entry of illegal aliens, but must create an immigration system that has meaningful integrity if our nation is to effectively address the many challenges confronting our country and our citizens.
We live in a perilous world and in a perilous era. The survival of our nation and the lives of our citizens hang in the balance
This is neither a Conservative issue, nor is it a Liberal issue- simply stated, this is most certainly an AMERICAN issue!
You are either part of the solution or you are a part of the problem!
